Project Brief: The specification from Westpac was to supply a freestanding monitor support with a minimum of 130mm travel to be used on their front teller counters. The monitor support was to comply with Westpac’s Occupational Health and Safety requirements with regard to minimising work related injuries to employees, and avoiding accidental injury to customers. Atdec was already in the conceptual design stages for a product similar to Westpac’s requirements. As Westpac had previously purchased over 5000 Atdec arms for their CRT monitors, they were very interested in allowing Atdec time to fully develop this new monitor support to determine its suitability for their new requirements. The Visidec monitor support was fully designed within six months for Westpac to test and evaluate.
