For some, simply placing their new TV on a coffee table at one end of their living room isn’t enough. With today’s advancement in technology televisions are a lot wider and come with tones of other accessories to top off the home theatre experience; from DVD recorders to surround sound speakers. Because of this it has become a lot harder to install TVs. Often in depth instructions are needed, or in some cases professional help. Although plasma TV installation is different in every home, because each person’s layout and needs are different, in general you’ll need some plasma TV mounts or plasma TV brackets to fix the screen to the wall out of the way (most now come with these). This saves space, makes the home look tidier and prevents the TV from falling over during a mishap. You’ll require a spirit level, preferably an electric screwdriver, some wall plugs and the brackets & mounts of which you’re mounting the TV to.

Before starting read the instructions and be sure you have everything you need. Next you need to mark out lightly with pencil where the TV will go. It is important to use a spirit level on the mounting panels to make sure they are straight, because once you’ve started drilling there’s no going back, unless you want ugly holes all over your wall (you may need an extra person to hold various pieces in place whilst you drill).

When you’ve followed the instructions and everything appears to be in place, tighten the screws as far as they go! You don’t want the TV falling off the wall.
